Nature’s sanctuary

Ōkahukura is a community shaped by its natural surroundings - elevated on a plateau, framed by lush green spaces, creating a sanctuary-like feel. With just one road in and out, this exclusive neighbourhood feels far from the hustle and bustle while remaining effortlessly connected. Expansive views to the north and west create a feeling of openness, while the gully reserve brings nature to your doorstep.

Carefully positioned homes embrace the sunlight, maximising warmth and natural light throughout the day. Ōkahukura’s idyllic and community-minded streets also make it easy to get to know neighbours. And while it feels a world away, Albany’s many amenities - shops, schools, dining, and transport - are all within easy reach. Ōkahukura is where tranquility meets convenience, offering a lifestyle that feels both private and connected.

Designed for every chapter

Ōkahukura’s thoughtfully designed floorplans cater to the demands of modern living, featuring options to suit every stage of life. Whether you’re a family staying close to university-aged kids or seeking a low-maintenance lock-up-and-leave, discover the right home for your lifestyle. Designs include:

  • Expansive 4-5 bedroom standalone family homes
  • Stylish 2-4 bedroom terraced homes or
  • 1-3 bedroom walk-up residences on a single-level.

The hallmarks of Fletcher Living quality are evident across Ōkahukura. Premium designer kitchens are complemented by spacious living areas. High stud ceilings and large windows maximise warmth and natural light. Private outdoor living areas provide the perfect setting for friends and family to spend an afternoon.

Ōkahukura’s special character

The name Ōkahukura was gifted to this new community by Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara, the joint venture partner on this special project. As the Māori name for the Albany area, it pays tribute to Kahukura, an atua (ancestral deity) represented by the rainbow - a symbol of passage, protection, and prosperity, bridging journeys from sea to land.

With this in mind, special thought has been given to the design of this community, honouring the stories and values of Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara. It offers residents an opportunity to be part of a living narrative within a landscape rich in meaning.
