Working with our Customers during COVID-19

All New Home Consultants are fully vaccinated.

At all times, the health and safety of you, our staff, and our contractors remains our key priority. Our New Home Consultants are available to take your call or speak with you via online video call. Please note that as we move within the Traffic Light System our Showhomes and Sales Suite opening hours will vary by location.

We’re keen to help you into your brand-new dream home and have a range of options from private appointments to online video calls to help make that happen.

Online Video Calls:

COVID-19 has encouraged us to use technology to 'virtually' do what we would have normally done in person. How we have been helping buyers discover their new dream home has also changed. You now have more ways to view and research potential homes from the comfort of your own home. We have a range of videos and floorplans we can share with you while we gain an understanding of what's important to you in a home. If you are keen to talk with a New Home Consultant, you can book an in-person appointment, arrange a virtual online video call or just give us a call - we're here to help.

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

We have outlined answers to some frequently asked questions on how we will continue to work with our customers within the COVID Traffic Light Framework.

  • How can I find out more about Fletcher Living homes for sale?

In order to get the best experience possible, we recommend that you give us a call or book a video call with one of our New Home Consultants. During the call, our New Home Consultant will work with you to determine the type of home you’re interested in, the number of bedrooms, the price range you are working to and when you are looking to buy. They can then arrange a future appointment for you to view our homes.

  • Can I walk through the Showhome / Sales Suite or homes for sale?

Red - Showhomes and Sales Suites will be open by appointment only with My Vaccine pass, masks and contact tracing in place.

Orange – Showhomes and Sales Suites will be open by appointment, capacity limits, masks and contact tracing in place.

Green - Showhomes and Sales Suites will be open with tracing required, masks will be optional.

  • Are there restrictions around settlement of my new Fletcher Living home?

Under the Traffic Light Framework there are currently no restrictions that would prevent you from settling and moving into your new home. We will have strict procedures in place to allow your settlement to transact while ensuring your health and wellbeing, as well as that of our staff and contractors.  Please contact your New Home Consultant if you have any further questions.

  • Can I sign a digital Sale & Purchase Agreement?

We have all the processes in place that will enable you to sign a digital Sale & Purchase agreement from the comfort of your own home.  All you need is access to a computer and scanner or a smartphone. We have received signed agreements from purchasers in a number of ways including:

    1. A printed agreement that has been signed and then scanned back to Fletcher Living;
    2. Agreements signed electronically, using PDF signature, that are then emailed back to Fletcher Living; and
    3. Agreements where the purchaser has authorised their solicitor to sign the agreement on their behalf.
  • Do I need to have finance approved prior to signing a S&P agreement?

Finance approval is not required at the time of signing. We can recommend different lenders who will help you obtain finance and we can also make this a condition in your contract so that you will have the peace of mind that finance can be secured before you go unconditional.

  • Will I have a longer time frame to arrange finance and confirm the conditions in my S&P agreement?

We normally recommend a 10-working day clause for finance. If you are accessing KiwiSaver then sometimes you require a little longer for the application to be processed. Your New Home Consultant is happy to work with you on timeframes for finance.

  • Can I go unconditional on a Sale & Purchase Agreement within the Traffic Light Framework?

Yes, once you are happy that your conditions have been satisfied, you are welcome to go unconditional by the due date or earlier. Your New Home Consultant is happy to work with you to make the process from signing to unconditional as smooth as possible.

  • Will you provide flexibility around the date of settlement?

Yes, we will.  During these very uncertain times, it's important that you can sign a contract with the confidence that you can change the settlement date to meet a change in circumstances at your end.

  • I’m still keen to buy but my financial position has changed slightly. What are my options?

We have a range of new homes available across our locations at a wide range of price points. If your budget limit has changed, we will work with you to find the ideal solution that meets your needs. In these uncertain times, we think the peace of mind that comes from owning a brand-new home, backed by Fletcher Living is more important than ever.
