Oranga

Oranga has a wealth of amenities in surrounding neighbourhoods as well as within walking distance. Venture close by to Fergusson Domain with rugby fields, children's playground and the local community centre. A local favourite, Wētā Coffee cafe is less than 10 minutes walk away, a perfect excuse for fresh air as part of your daily exercise regime.

Oranga sits at the heart of a well established transport hub with Onehunga bus interchange and train station only a few minutes drive away or Te Papapa train station a short walk. Te Papapa School is located within easy walking distance or short drive from our location, with the local kindergarten just a short walk from home. Education options are well catered for in the area - from kindergarten through to college. The local secondary schools are One Tree Hill College, Marcellin College and Onehunga High School. University options and Unitec are also just a bus or train ride away into the city.    

Oranga is surrounded by greenery and open spaces with walkways, parks and reserves within a short walk or drive. The well-loved and established Cornwall Park is only a short drive away with an abundance of recreational space, farm life and walk ways to enjoy with family or on your own - from dog walking to picnics, running or dining in at a cafe with friends. 

Near the heart of this village is the well renown Onehunga Mall, home to specialty stores through to local eateries. This popular suburban street is located within a short walk or drive to Dress Smart, which hosts a vast selection of outlet stores within the mall area and street front. This main shopping centre as well as Countdown supermarket are amid an extensive range of amenities on or near the main road including the local library and bank options.

This area holds a wealth of history as some of Auckland's older, more established residential suburbs. Jellicoe Park is one of Onehunga's oldest parks home to Onehunga Pool and Leisure Centre which offers an excellent gym and recreational facility. Adjacent to the centre is a playground for the kids to enjoy with toilets, picnic tables and seating, great for catering to families for recreational activities and picnics. The surrounding walking tracks make for a leisurely stroll through the well manicured park with formal flower beds, century old trees and historic archways and buildings. Venture within a short drive to Cornwall Park, Ambury Regional Park or Mt Eden Domain.
