Fletcher Living's female led project.
A home built by women.
The story of BUILDhers began in 2022, with a bold vision: a home built by a team of exceptional women. We aimed to showcase
talent, open doors, and pave a clear path for women in construction.
This New Zealand-first project involved a team of more than 40 women leading every stage of home construction, from architectural design to final sale. With the successful completion of a stunning four-bedroom standalone home, the first BUILDhers project became a testament to female empowerment in the industry.

The journey doesn’t end here. We’re thrilled to announce the commencement of BUILDhers II.
We’re seeking expressions of interest from women across all trades, from carpentry to landscaping, to join this inspiring initiative. If you’re a woman in a trade who thrives in a collaborative environment, or know someone who would excel in this opportunity, we encourage you to reach out.
