The clever colour palette combines greens and rust tones with natural timber to effortlessly bring the surrounding environment indoors. The result is relaxed ambience and a feeling of space.
Open plan kitchen / dining / living
The Scandinavian themed open plan kitchen, dining, living incorporates fresh warm whites and natural light oak timber to take full advantage of the natural light pouring into these rooms.
The single glass and pendant light with filament bulb over the island bench enhances the clean, simple design.
A pop of tropical, exotic wallpaper in warm green tones enriches the study nook adding pattern and colour to the space without making it feel enclosed.
Top Tip: Using snippets of wallpaper is an affordable, fun way to add interest to a space. It achieves the desired effect without the expense of covering an entire room – and also makes it much easier to update once it’s time for a change.
Separate Lounge
Green makes a bold statement in the separate lounge, which opens onto a patio area.
The deep green feature wall creates both an intimate private space and the perfect backdrop to display artwork or precious family memories. Lots of green plants compliment the bold shade and continue the flow of trees and plantings outside.
Drawing further from the local environment, a copper-coloured pendant light mimic’s the Corten steel in the neighbouring park and becomes the focal point for this room. It adds warmth and depth while providing subdued lighting to further enhance what is a warm and inviting space for the whole family to relax and unwind.
Bedrooms
Feature walls in Dulux “Cuddlepot” - a warm, light terracotta hue - celebrate the all day sun soaked up by the spacious master bedroom. Concrete and copper pendant lights with naked filament bulbs either side of the bed extend the natural theme.
As the home has been styled with first time buyers in mind, Debbie has themed a young child’s bedroom. It’s a fun, creative space featuring chalkboard wall paint and black and white wallpaper that harmonises with the home’s overall colour palette and clean, simple design.
Meanwhile, the third bedroom features wallpaper with a geometric print in neutral light tones to give the room individuality without enclosing the space.
