What's Happening Now and Next
We're making steady progress toward bringing The Hill neighbourhood to life. Here's what we've accomplished recently, what's happening right now, and what's coming up over the next few months.
Recently Completed
● The major land development and civil infrastructure works across The Hill are now largely complete, marking an important transition as the neighbourhood moves firmly into its residential phase.
● The Marua Road water main upgrade is complete, delivering improved water infrastructure for The Hill and surrounding properties.
● Lower Derby Downs and associated road upgrades are finished, with new streets improving local connectivity.
● Temporary site fencing and hoarding have been removed from key areas as homes reach completion, opening up views across the streetscape.
● The first standalone homes along Great Northern Terrace are complete and available for viewing, a tangible sign of the community coming to life.
● All new street signage is in place throughout the development, with names reflecting The Hill's cultural and equestrian heritage, developed in collaboration with local iwi, Auckland Thoroughbred Racing, and community stakeholders.
● Our first homeowners have now moved in, a landmark moment for The Hill and the wider neighbourhood.
● Two rock sculptures have been blessed and installed in Belvedere Gardens, designed and crafted by Chris van Doren and Paora Puru (Ngati Te Ata Waiohua), adding lasting cultural significance to the heart of the neighbourhood.
Currently Underway and Coming Up
● Construction at Belvedere Apartments continues to advance above ground, with visible structural progress and ongoing crane operations as the building moves through its next phase.
● Homes along Great Northern Terrace are progressing well, with landscaping and finishing works on Lots 63-65 expected to wrap up around mid-June.
● Construction is active across Lots 66-71 Furlong Avenue and Lot 80 Hihiko Close, with work continuing across these areas over the coming weeks.
● Lots 61 and 62 Furlong Avenue are expected to reach completion by late June.
● From 8 June, ground floor framing begins on Lots 74-79 Hihiko Close, the first of our terraced homes.
● A new show home at Lot 61 opens from 1 July, giving prospective buyers and neighbours a chance to see The Hill first-hand.
● Final landscaping and native planting works continue throughout the development, contributing to the neighbourhood's streetscape and shared green spaces.
● Sales momentum remains strong. At Belvedere Apartments, almost 50% of homes are sold with further agreements in place. Within The Residences, several lots are sold or under contract, with open homes at completed properties attracting consistent interest.
● The Hill Experience Centre is open 7 days, 10am-4pm (Tuesdays from 12pm), or by appointment.
