With dedicated cycle ways and new cycle paths around and throughout West Auckland, avid cyclists have the option of riding into the city as well as in and around your new neighbourhood. For those that do not drive or cycle, Auckland Transport buses circle the centre of Te Atatū Peninsula and ride into the city or through Henderson, a trip via bus lane would only take 30-40 minutes in rush hour. The closest train station is a 10 minute drive away at Henderson train station.

Te Atatū Peninsula is surrounded by greenery and open spaces with walkways, parks and reserves all across this lively suburb. Majority of walks follow around the edge of the Peninsula and take in spectacular views across the Waitematā Harbour towards Auckland City. There is an abundance of native bird life around the area and extensive coastal park with the likes of Harbourview-Orangihina Park that you can enjoy a range of activities - from dog walking, picnics, running and bird watching.
